Redondo Beach CA: Updates. $$$ requested. Ollie the rescued ChowX

Crosspost OK & welcome!
7/29 UPDATES

Oliver went to the Groomer’s 7/28/10. Maybe he was never bathed or groomed in his life, poor guy.
Here is a NEW (click on) ChipIn for Oliver. Please donate and crosspost to potential donors & adopters if you can! Oliver is getting neutered this afternoon! Yay! Yesterday he was groomed. There are new photos in Album #4; you can still see a couple of his wounds from when he was a struggling stray in a harsh urban environment. In a relatively short time, under Deborah Allard’s tender care, he has come a long way from his wild and woolly days on the streets of Hawthorne. Please help Oliver get more training and ultimate placement in a wonderful forever home.
Oliver enjoyed getting familiar with the truck 7/20/10

Hello friends,
Annabella is a Shar Pei/lab mix, about 7-9 months old and weighs about 40 pounds. She was found abandoned in a Huntington Park neighborhood and rescued by Nordis Parente.  Annabella is good with kids and other dogs.
She is in a boarding facility, but needs a foster home.  Please contact Nordis at 323 336 4336 if you can foster Annabella.
Thank you for your help.

Los Angeles: Beautiful Marble Orange Tabby Needs Out of A Cage and Into A Foster Home!!

Hello Everyone:
Please cross post this email far and wide.
OJ showed up at my house a few months ago.  At first, I thought he was feral and then I realized he was just afraid.  He belonged to somebody at some point in time as he started begging to come into my house.  He would stand at the door and meow and bang on the door with his paws.
We were finally able to  pick him up a few weeks ago and get him to the vet.  He has been neutered, dewormed, de-flead, received his first FVRCP vaccination (will give him a second vaccination in 2 weeks), microchipped and tested for FELV/FIV.  He needs to be retested for FELV in 3 weeks as his test results were discordant.  The in-house snap test and the lab Elisa test were both positive for FELV but the IFA test was NEGATIVE. (The IFA test is the confirmation test that shows the virus is in the bone marrow and the cat will test positive for life).  What this means is that OJ has a chance to fight off the infection as the virus has not moved to the second stage.
OJ is approximately 2 years old and is a very healthy big boy weighing in at 14.5 pounds. He is very social and loves to be petted and hold hands. He is currently living in a large cage in my garage as I have no place to put him. All of the extra rooms in my house are filled with other foster cats and kittens.  Does anybody have a room they can put OJ in for 3 weeks until I can get him retested?  I will provide food and litter and pay $50 a week or $150 to anyone who can board him.  He is miserable in the cage and is starving for affection.  I am stretched so thin right now it is difficult for me to spend time with him. I worry about his stress level and want to keep his stress level to a minimum so he has a chance to fight off the infection.  If you can help, please contact me at 323.854.5485
Thank you,
Jacquelyn
