“Peanut” is a 7yr old Honey Colored Chihuahua And Has Found A Home!

Peanut

1/11 Peanut has found a lovely home with a nice family!

Peanut is a 7yr old male neutered deer head honey colored chihuahua that desperately needs a home.  His owners transferred him over to their housekeeper 5 years ago and the shelter contacted them last week saying they found him wandering the streets.  Now the owners can no longer keep him, so they have until Saturday to find him a home.  If no one adopts him, he will be signed over to the shelter and it will be in their discretion to euthanize him.

Please Adopt him!  He is a sweet natured boy that was at one time loved and cared for.  Now he is sitting in the shelter waiting for someone to take him home by Saturday.  Please don’t let him die there!

If you can adopt Peanut, please contact: Andreas Adamec andreasadamec@verizon.net ASAP! Time is running out.

One Of The Rescued Cats

By Donna Littlejohn on January 5, 2010 12:48 PM

We posted last month about how the spca-LA assisted an elderly woman in the San Fernando Valley who had become overwhelmed with nearly 100 cats she’d taken in.

The animals were in good condition and now it turns out that several of them are up for adoption with a local rescue group in Hawthorne, A Cat’s Tale (310-973-9353).

I spoke with Darla Schultz of A Cat’s Tale last week (they work with the SPCA’s Hawthorne shelter where many of the confiscated felines were taken) and she has several of the cats that she says would make excellent companions. They are a bit shy, she said, but would come around in time. Several would be good with older people.

“We put out a massive email asking people to help,” Darla said, but so far few have stepped forward. She’s hoping perhaps some other South Bay rescue groups can lend a hand.

Simba A4063707 A 3yr Old Russian Blue Male At Carson Is Available

Russian Blue At Carson

A4063707  3yr male gray shorthair/ came in 11/30, turned in by owner.  His name is Simba.  Not a big cat. He knows how to open his cage. Did it 6 times until we put an extra latch on it. Should not go to a house with little kids as sometimes he plays a little hard and starts play biting. Gets a little hyper too. He’d probably be good with a dog. But he is a loving kitty when he want to be.

If you are interested in Simba and need more information, please contact Cyndi Zacko cdzacko@hotmail.com

A4068582 is a 2yr old male gray tabby that came in the shelter on 12/15.  He is such a sweetheart (I wish I could take him), a real sweetie pie!!
