“Charmaine” Beautiful 2yr old Russian Blue-RESCUED

Charmaine

UPDATE 1/22: RESCUED!

Pull Fees and Transport Covered!!!!

When we approached Charmaine  (A1085262, 2 year old, green-listed on 1/14  –  down-graded from red because she is soooooo sweet!!!) she seemed a bit cautious, then started to rub up against the side of the cage, and suddenly, flopped over and started stretching and inching her way towards us to be petted.  What a beauty she is, with that deep gray, soft fur.  This girl was indeed lucky  –  but you can be even luckier if you save her life.  Please visit or call the South L.A. shelter at (213)  485-0117  or  -0119 to rescue her.  Impound #A1085262

The South Los Angeles facility was damaged by the Northridge Earthquake and could no longer be used.  A temporary annex was hastily constructed to provide basic service levels in the area until a new South Los Angeles Animal Care Center was designed and opened in 2001.   Now, the Annex, which is a block west of the new Care Center, has also been renovated, and houses animals needing medical care or other special attention.  The public can visit the Annex on Sunday afternoons to look for animals to adopt.

HOURS OF PUBLIC OPERATION (for Care Center):
Monday (Closed)
Tuesday (8AM – 5PM)
Wednesday (8AM – 5PM)
Thursday (8AM – 5PM)
Friday (8AM – 5PM)
Saturday (8AM – 5PM)
Sunday (11AM – 5PM)

I saw this cat when she was at the Annex, I would have adopted her but I have 2 cats and did not want to take the chance of her being FIV or other, therefore, I wanted to adopt her from a rescue, after she had been vetted.
I have no idea which rescue pulled her, I did ask the ACT Super from the shelter to contact them and let them know I would like to adopt her.
If anyone knows the rescue please let me know, you can email me at andrias01@sbcglobal.net
