SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO FIND INJURED DOG – EAGLE ROCK/HIGHLAND PARK AREA – CALIF
Injured and lost blonde female Terrier/Poodle Mix – Medium sized – About 25 lbs.
REWARD: $2,500 to the person who finds her!
The white dog was walking on a leash with her owner, Shelly, when an unleashed pitbull attacked at Eagle Rock Recreation Center in Eagle Rock, CA on Wednesday night (11/25) around 6:30pm. Sammy (Sam) was bitten in the neck and hind quarter, and ran away towards Figueroa.
Sam is usually very friendly, but might be shy and scared now that she is injured and lost. She lost her collar, but she’s microchipped with AVID FriendChip.
She might be hiding nearby in the surrounding neighborhoods, and since she is injured time is of the essence!
- IF YOU CAN SPARE AN HOUR OR TWO, PLEASE HELP US FIND HER
…by posting some flyers, talking to people or just looking around. It would be a huge help! (Although you might not live in this area, please pass on the e-mail as your friends might know someone who does.)
Possible sightings: near Occidental College, Eagle Rock/Highland Park Sunday 11/29 at 8 am, and prior in the neighborhoods near York & Figueroa in Highland Park.
For further info, contact Sammy’s owner Shelly directly at 323-603-9434 or Shelly_Strong@DreamWorksStudios.com

Yesterday afternoon and this morning, we searched the four block area between Aves 54 and Ave 56, and Stratford and York. There are many friendly but noisy dogs in the area, some that run loose, so I suspect if Sam came through here, she kept going. This seems supported by her sighting at Occidental College, which lies at the north end of Stratford.
Still, we are out walking or driving in the area, usually once in the morning and once in the evening so we’ll keep an eye out. Our dogs are fenced but always say hello to any passing dog — we’ll keep an eye on those encounters as well.
